Both programmes featured New Zealand Prime Minister John Key.
The first award was in the category of “Best Children/Young Adult Program” for “The Crazy Kiwi
Christmas Kids Show” on Christmas morning last year. The show featured celebrities, including Mr Key, reading Christmas stories.
The second award, for “Best Writing”, went to a Christmas programme that purported to be an
hour of talkback radio on the first Christmas day, in Jerusalem.
Newstalk ZB transformed into fictitious radio station, Newstalk BC. Mr Key was talkback caller “John”, a fan of Caesar, who retained his power in a victory over an uprising from the “Labourites”.
