NAPIER — Hundreds of eager children and families queued on a Friday night, May 16, to get the extreme fright of their lives.
The original Marist building, which stands empty and ready for demolition because of earthquake risk, was transformed into a house of terror to commemorate its last days.
Students, current and past, screamed, cried and shrieked their way through a path lined with obstacles, coffins and an enthusiastic scare team.
“Fright Night”, a night not easily forgotten, raised $1600 for the Senior Syndicate.
