Prayers sought for cause of Suzanne Aubert

by NZ CATHOLIC staff
WELLINGTON — Pamphlets with prayers for the cause for the beatification of Suzanne Aubert are being distributed in New Zealand parishes.
The pamphlets, in English and Te Reo Maori, have a request from the Sisters of Compassion and the New Zealand Catholic bishops asking for prayers.
Suzanne Aubert (1835-1926) came to New Zealand from France in 1860 with Bishop Jean Baptiste Pompallier, New Zealand’s first Catholic bishop. She founded the Daughters of Our Lady of Compassion in 1892.
