I was clear about my views and that, as a guardian I was not willing to consent. Of the two of us, I am the Catholic, her mother is not. I would like my daughter to make her own informed decision when she is 18. Although our daughter attends a Catholic school, neither her former step father or her mother take her to mass. She does not attend mass out of school.
What is the policy or practice for this? I would like this baptism invalidated. 1) legally, and 2) culturally. How does this process meet the obligations if upholding the principles of the Treaty of Waitangi in terms of protecting cukture – tikanga, Tika, doing the right thing, Participation, whanau decisions. Not one acting alone.
