Both married women and married men hold few positions of formal authority in the Church. However, women – both married and professed – dominate positions of influence in the modern Kiwi church right from parish councils, secretaries, up through pastoral coordinators, school directors of religious studies, school Principals, lecturers, and diocesan employees.
The suggestion to have “people…check certain things such as whether the parish council contains an equal number of men and women” is so laughably out of touch as to be a “troll”, since I wager that most councils are majority women. This is because men, married family men, are almost fully dis-engaged from the modern Church.

The presenter doubles down on politics of identity with, ““the Church won’t survive without women”, but more so it won’t survive without children and and the research indicates that as the Dad goes, so go the babies and children.
